Do you allow Pets?

No, this is so we can enjoy and protect the abundance of wildlife.

Do you have eftpos, credit card facilities?

No, we ask for the balance on arrival to be paid in cash.

Do you Supply wood?

Yes for inside wood fires, small donation required for outdoor campfires.

How long have you been in business?

We have owned and been living at Kookaburra Creek since 2010.

In this time we have been getting it up and running again. Before we took over Proprietorship, my Father ran Kookaburra Creek as a Retreat for 10 years.

How many people can you accommodate?

Up to 18 people fit comfortably. 14 single people.

Or 5-7 couples plus children.

More if every sofa bed has 2 people.

Bunkhouse available for overflow on request.

Is Kookaburra Creek in the township of Melrose?

No, we are 10 kms north of Melrose.

Is linen and bedding supplied?

Only on request and for an extra charge.

Is there a washing machine?

Yes

Is there Mobile service?

Yes Telstra Next G, but sketchy at times.

What is supplied?

Well equipped kitchen with cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery, wine glasses, BBQs, 1500L caterer’s fridge, oven, cleaning supplies, mattress protectors, porta cot/ child back pack carrier on request. (Linen and bedding only on request).

What is your refund policy?

The Deposit is non refundable, unless under management discretion

What time do we check in and Depart?

Check in- 2pm. Depart- 11am.

What to take?

Food, bedding/ linen, towels, toiletries and other personal effects.

Who can use it?

Ideal set up for family reunions, groups, enthusiastic bird watchers, bushwalkers, cyclers, work retreats, school camps, youth camps.
